Christian Vannier is a socio-cultural anthropologists, who received his PhD from Wayne State University in 2008. His research focuses on NGO studies and Development Anthropology in Haiti and West Africa through analyzing the agency that lies at the intersections of grassroots community organization and neoliberal trends of globalization and social service delivery. His current research uses visual anthropology to explore religion and health service delivery in Togo and Ghana. In addition to teaching Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, Christian teaches Perspectives on Globalization and Contemporary Theory.
