Top Graduates Earn Alumni Association Honors
David Radel, '02, Steve Carlson, '78, and Kevin Michael Schmitz, '06, celebrated with family, friends and fellow alumni at an October 3 luncheon held in their honor. Carlson and Radel received the 2009 Alumni Service Awards in recognition of their outstanding service to GVSU and the Alumni Association. Schmitz was named the recipient of the Young Alumni Award which honors recent graduates who are making outstanding contributions in their careers and to society. Later that night, the duo was congratulated by President Haas at a special halftime recognition during the Laker football game.
