Below you'll find a list of frequently asked questions, along with corresponding answers.

Is there a registration deadline?

Yes, May 31, 2017 at the latest. The reunion has many moving parts and we need to secure our numbers and attendance by the end of May.

Can I attend for part of the weekend?

Yes, when registering, simply choose the activities you will attend a-la-carte.

May I bring a guest?

We want you to be able to share this experience with a guest. However, due to space constraints, we are only able to accommodate one (1) guest per invitee.

How do I get to campus?

By Car

Google Maps or MapQuest are great resources for directions. Use this address:

By Air

The Gerald R. Ford International Airport is the closest airport and offers a variety of car rentals.

What if the weather is bad?

We all know and love Michigan weather! If the weather is bad, some events may move locations or be altered. Either way, many of our reunion celebrations will continue rain or shine. We will be providing umbrellas in your welcome packet to help keep you dry!

Where do I go when I arrive on campus?

If you arrive on Friday, June 23, please check in at the Alumni House (#55 on the Allendale Campus Map) to receive your welcome packet.

If you are arriving on Saturday, June 24, between 8 and 3pm, please check in at the Glenn A. Niemeyer Learning & Living Center (#81 on the Allendale Campus Map) to receive your welcome packet.

Is parking available on campus?

We are working with the Public Safety Department to secure parking locations nearest our events on campus for your convenience. Should parking be a distance away, we will provide shuttles to and from the parking lot. More detailed information will come with your confirmation information.

I'm staying on campus. Can you tell me more?

What should I bring?

On-campus accommodations include linens, towels, soap, shampoo, private bath, kitchen, and continental breakfast.  You may wish to enhance.

Are the rooms air-conditioned?


Are there private baths?

Each on-campus accommodation includes a private bath and small kitchen.

Should I plan on a cash bar or free drinks?

An open bar will be available during the Welcome Reception and Class of 1967 Reunion: A Modern Day Hootenanny. Please note, you may not bring your own alcohol to any of the weekend activities. 

Guests who are 21 years or older may consume and store alcohol in the privacy of their on-campus housing. Open containers of alcohol are not permitted in any public areas in or outside the on-campus housing system. 

What is the attire?

The attire for the reunion activities is comfortable and casual. Please be aware that we will be taking pictures throughout the weekend, so wear your Laker gear if you’d like!

The Class of 1967 Reunion: A Modern Day Hootenanny on Saturday evening is business casual, no tie required.

Where can I purchase GVSU Laker attire?

While you are on campus, visit The Marketplace where the Laker Store is housed (#95 on the Allendale Campus Map). If you have an alumni membership card or mention you are with the Class of 1967 Reunion, you can save 10% on imprinted items. The Laker Store is open 8am to 5pm on Friday, June 23, closed on the weekend.

Will there be Internet access?

Yes, we will provide you with the guest log-on and password in your welcome packet.
