Thank you so much to those who shared their experiences with us! It was amazing to hear what Grand Valley was like fifty years ago and we can now share your stories with other alumni and generations of Lakers to come.
In June of 1967, you were one of the seniors to receive a diploma and participate in Grand Valley State College’s first commencement. In June of 2017, you took part in a weekend reunion that celebrated everything you did to help make Grand Valley the beloved university it is today.
Between showing you how much the campus has grown, and toasting to a great 50 years, celebrating the Class of 1967 was truly an honor. Thank you for joining us, and most importantly, thank you for going to a school in the cornfields and for taking a chance on Michigan’s newest college.
A special thank you to the reunion planning committee for working with us to ensure the weekend was special for everyone. Thank you Galene DeWitt, Annie Jacobs, Bob Monaghan, James Moore, Mary Ohm, Diane Paton, and Don Paton!
And thank you to everyone who gave to The Pioneer Class of 1967 Endowed Scholarship. Each gift truly makes a difference and helps us support more Grand Valley students. If you haven’t yet made your gift, but would like to, please click here to learn how to give online, by phone, or by mail.
