1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
After completing my Bachelor's, I went to grad school for a
while. Then I realized I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to be when I
grew up, so I started working full-time in the employee benefits
field. While doing that I completed my Master's in Organizational
Management. Almost 10 years after graduation, I found my career
calling and started working in the field of HR Technology. I have
spent the last 20 years growing in that field and finding my passion
for HR technology. My most recent role is as a Sr. Manager supporting
all things technology for HR. I am married and have two kids who are
just finishing their freshman year of college (one at GVSU and one at
a rival university). For fun, I play a lot of pool!
2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
I have so many great memories of my time at GVSU, but probably
the best one was meeting Adam Sandler.
3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Don't underestimate yourself!
4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand
Valley experience.
Growth, Opportunity, Fun
5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
I would just like to know that at some point I made a positive
difference for someone and positively impacted their life.
