The GVSU Alumni Association hosted its annual outing on July 18 at the Meadows Golf Course. Alumni golfers traveled from as far as Seattle, Milwaukee and Detroit to participate in the friendly scramble which hosted a record number of people in the last ten years with 131 participants.
After the day on the links, volunteers and participants headed over to the Main Street Pub for dinner and the awards program. The outing raised more than $9,000 for the GVSU Career Center Internship Award in an effort to help offset the costs of working in unpaid internships. The Career Center provides ten $500 scholarships to students during the fall, winter and spring/summer semesters.
