James Ashley, '87 and Professor Star Swift Honored with Association's Highest Awards
Graduate of Geology, James Ashley, PhD ’87 was bestowed the Distinguished Alumni Award at an awards ceremony and dinner at the Alumni House & Visitor Center on April 27, 2012. Star Swift, professor of management in the Seidman College of Business was also honored as the Outstanding Educator for April 2012. Swift an Ashley gave remarks about their GVSU experiences and enjoyed dinner and drinks with their family, friends and colleagues. The two were also presented in front of the newest members of the Alumni Association at the commencement ceremonies on April 28, 2012 at Van Andel Arena.
