GVSU Alumni Relations
Washington D.C. Information

Founded in November 2002, the GVSU Alumni Club of the Washington D.C. metro area (GVDC) began as both a social and networking venture for young professionals. Since then, the purpose of the GVDC has evolved to engage all area alumni, and other friends of Grand Valley, in actively recruiting and welcoming other Grand Valley alums to the DC metro area. Additionally, the GVDC provides a networking hub for Grand Valley alums to exchange professional advice, expertise and resources for career advancement.

The GVDC is a highly active group that meets regularly to socialize and conduct business. Looking ahead, the group plans to establish an endowment to help support summer interns interested in working in the DC metro area. Additionally, the group plans to partner with various disciplines of the University to boost interest and provide nominees for internships in the DC metro area. Currently, the GVDC is actively organizing internship and other professional opportunities for Grand Valley students and alums alike.

If you would like more information on the GVDC or plan to relocate to the DC metro area, the GVDC would be delighted to hear from you! Please contact Rick Rossow at rossow@hotmail.com for additional information or to be placed on our mailing list for future events.

The GVDC membership represents a broad cross-section of careers and interests. We welcome your interest in the DC metro area in general and in the GVDC in particular. Ultimately, the GVDC strives to recruit and welcome Grand Valley alums, friends and associates to the DC metro area so don't be shy we're here to welcome and support you!
