Graduates Lead Way in Fight Against Cancer
On April 9-10 members of the GVSU Alumni Association Relay for Life® team walked for 12 hours to help raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society. The alumni team raised a total of $6,510, earning them the highest per person fundraising total of the 96 teams participating and the second highest team total. For the second straight year, team captain Tim Duthler, '73, earned the top individual fundraising spot and personally raised over $3,500 for the cause. He beat out over 2,055 other walkers for the honor.
