Kick off your summer with GVSU at this family friendly event! Enjoy the summer solstice (the longest day of the year) at the John Ball Zoo Park Pond Pavilion with fellow GVSU Young Alumni. This casual event begins at 5:30 p.m. and will feature all local Michigan food and beverages. Food will be catered by and served from the popular Silver Spork Food Truck, and beverages will be provided by the Ninth Bridge Market. Socialize on the shores of the John Ball Zoo Park pond while listening to the chill music of GVSU alumni Alexander Hamel, ‘05 & Jennifer Collier, ’08.
There will be a special celebration with prizes and event remarks by young alumni at 7:09 p.m., the time at which summer officially begins in the Northern Hemisphere.
Cost: $10 includes food from The Silver Spork Food Truck and Michigan beers and wines.
Attire: Summer casual
