Alumni Volunteers Help Feed the Hungry in West Michigan

On November 22, GVSU alumni came together in service at the Second Harvest Gleaners' Comstock Park warehouse. Volunteers toured the facility and learned valuable information on how the organization is helping to end hunger before going to work helping pick and package items for distribution. In just three short hours, the crew of 20 was able to process 6,367 total pounds of food and personal care items and help provide 7,875 meals, or $30,726.99 worth of food, to those in need in the West Michigan community.  It truly was a rewarding experience, and lots of fun! Thank you to all of our volunteers for your hard work and community spirit.
