Alumni Volunteer at Camp Blodgett
On July 27, 2009, thirteen GVSU graduates shared dinner and took part in camp activities with 103 campers at Camp Blodgett in Grand Haven, MI. Camp Blodgett's mission is to give children the knowledge, tools and desire to be successful in school and in life. The GVSU Young Alumni Council provided back-to-school supply bags to each camper and volunteers contributed donations for the camp's after school programs. The event proved to be a meaningful experience for all participants and an example of the multitude of ways in which Grand Valley State University promotes the value of educational access for all individuals.
