Alumni Association Bestows Highest Awards at December Commencement
The weekend of December 9th, the GVSU Alumni Association honored Michelle Troseth, ’83 & ’97 with the Distinguished Alumni Award, and Dr. Felix Ngassa, '07 with the Outstanding Educator Award. Troseth is the executive vice president and chief professional practice officer for Elsevier Clinical Decision Support & Elsevier Clinical Practice Model Resource Center in Grand Rapids. Ngassa is associate professor of chemistry.
Both award recipients were presented with their awards at a reception and ceremony for their family, friends and colleagues on Friday, December 9, and the celebration continued on Saturday, December 10, as the two received accolades at Commencement in front of 1,000 new graduates. Following the ceremony, the two were invited to a private luncheon hosted by President Thomas J. Haas.
