Stay Connected
  • Host a local alumni get-together.
  • Join an alumni chapter or your regional club.
  • Update your current contact information and that of any former classmates.
  • Tell us what you’re up to! We want to hear about what you’re doing in the community and any exciting business connections you’re making with other alums.
  • Keep in touch with faculty & staff.
  • Share your story! We are always looking for good alumni success stories to spotlight your accomplishments and help motivate other graduates and current students.
  • Encourage all former classmates to actively participate in the GVSU Alumni Association.
  • Read the GV Magazine.
  • Sign up to receive our monthly e-newsletter.
  • Attend or volunteer at a GVSU alumni event.
  • Wear GVSU logo clothing and attire. Visit www.ubs.gvsu.edu.
  • Place a GVSU decal or license plate frame on your car.
  • Always wear your GVSU college ring.
  • Visit the GVSU and Alumni Web sites. Come back often to keep up-to-date on the latest university news and events.
  • Tell new friends about your experience at GVSU.

Encourage Prospective Students

  • Share your GVSU experiences with a prospective student and their parents.
  • Encourage potential students you may know through work, organizations in which you belong, or your neighborhood to apply to GVSU.
  • Serve as an Alumni Ambassador at a local college recruiting fair.
  • Get involved in career days at high schools or community events and mention that you got your start at GVSU.
  • Drop off information about GVSU to your local high schools.
