Trunk or Treat! GVSU Hosts West Michigan's Largest Outdoor Halloween Party
GVSU Laker Football is celebrating Halloween by hosting the largest outdoor Halloween party in West Michigan. Fans are encouraged to dress up and participate in the “Trunk-or-Treat” party. “Trunk-or-Treat” is the same as Trick-or-Treating; the difference is that Trick-or-Treaters will be getting candy out of the trunks of cars instead of houses. It is an all out Trick-or-Treat party in the tailgate lots
You may participate in two ways. The first is to be a “Trunk” that “Trunk-or-Treaters” can come receive candy from. Place a GV pumpkin car cling in a visible location on your car and bring candy to give. Cars that have the GV pumpkin cling will signify that car as one that has treats, just like leaving porch lights on during Trick-or-Treating on Halloween. The second is to come dressed up in a full Halloween costume. There will be prizes for the costumes that are most scary, original, funny, and overall best. Cars with the GV pumpkin cling mean they have candy for “Trunk-or-Treaters”.
"Trunk or Treating” will begin as the tailgate lots open at 4 PM and will last until kickoff. You can get the official GV pumpkin car clings at both the Allendale and Downtown University Bookstores as well the GVSU athletic offices. Come join the Lakers for the largest outdoor Halloween party in West Michigan. For more information contact the GVSU Athletic Ticket Office at (616) 331-3200.
