Volunteers Make A GRAND Impact
Nearly 100 alumni volunteers and their guests attended the annual Alumni Volunteer Celebration on April 10, 2012. The special night was intended to recognize the hard work that alumni volunteers dedicate to GVSU and the surrounding communities. Guests were treated with a complimentary strolling dinner and drinks as well as a volunteer thank you video and slide show. Alumni Association President Julie Bulson, ’99 & ’07 gave remarks and provided updates on the impact of alumni volunteers. Alumni Relations Director Chris Barbee, ’88 also thanked the crowd for their dedication to the university. Several alumni walked away with Laker loot following a raffle drawing, as well as “candy to-go” from the featured dessert bar.
