Lakers have a heart for their communities, and it shows. 625 Grand Valley alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends participated in Community Outreach Week 2012. The annual week-long event is aimed at uniting Lakers from around the world in service. Projects were hosted in West Michigan, Detroit, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, Kansas, Minnesota and in between. Volunteers rolled up their sleeves and logged more than two-thousand hours at events from March 26-31. Projects were also hosted as far away as Africa, Jamaica and New Foundland.
