Kent Fisher, '91

Coast Guard officer,solving problems and accepting increasingly demanding responsibilities. He retired from service to obtain a communications degree from GVSU and pursue a career in alumni relations. Kent retired in 2006 after spending 15 years with GVSU Alumni Relations, supervising office and field staff, writing and editing alumni and university materials, managing the alumni awards program, planning and conducting special events, and overseeing regional and affiliate alumni constituent group activities. He remains the recognizable radio and internet voice of several GVSU athletics teams including the Laker basketball and softball teams. Kent currently resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
