Thank You Alumni Volunteers
GVSU Alumni Relations used National Volunteer Week as an opportunity to gather and thank the hundreds of graduates who volunteered at university and community projects or served on boards and committees during the 2009-10 academic year. Of the nearly 500 total alumni volunteers, 85 attended the April 20 Volunteer Celebration to enjoy gourmet food stations, beverages and a video tribute highlighting the impact of their collective efforts. GVSU was recognized numerous times in the past year for community involvement and volunteerism, in no small part due to the ongoing efforts of committed graduates. Alumni volunteers who were unable to attend the event will receive a special appreciation gift. View photos.

Student Giving to Grand Valley on the Rise
University Development extends sincere thanks to the Class of 2010 for their generous contributions during GradFest. Over 350 gifts were made (the highest total on record) to support programs like the Student Legacy Scholarship, the Grand Valley Fund, and the Mary Idema Pew Library Learning & Information Commons. This generosity truly reflects the commitment of future alumni to giving back to Grand Valley as they follow in the footsteps of over 5,400 Grand Valley alumni who annually donate to the University. Annual gifts from alumni support student scholarships, programs, and the University’s highest priorities. Thank you for Shaping Our Future!
