Tutoring

You might find yourself needing a little extra help during some classes here at Grand Valley. Free tutoring is available to all enrolled students. Tutoring can take the place in a variety of forms and at a variety of locations.

The Tutoring Center provides free tutoring to all Grand students in most 100- and 200-level courses. Tutorials are conducted in one-on-one and group settings. Please call (616) 331-3451 or visit their web site for more information.

The Math Tutoring Lab, also know as the Math Lab, provides math specific tutoring utilizing undergraduate math majors and department faculty. Please call the Center at (616) 331-2084 or visit their web site for more information.

The Fred Meijer Center for Writing and Michigan Authors provides free writing help. The Center assists writers at any stage of their writing processes. Peer consultants can help with brainstorming ideas, organizing content, paraphrasing or summarizing research from various sources, polishing a final draft, and correctly documenting sources. Walk-in hours are available in Allendale, Downtown Grand Rapids, and Holland. Grammar-Chat and Online Support is also available.
