12-Step Recovery Meetings at GVSU

Although not affiliated with the ACES office, there are a number of AA/NA/ACA meetings either on or near campus which the ACES staff can help recovering students connect with. Meetings on-campus are open to students, faculty, staff, and community members who have a desire to stop using alcohol or other drugs.

About 12-Steps:

Alcoholics Anonymous is a program for individuals who share experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

Narcotics Anonymous welcomes any individuals who are trying to overcome any type of drug or alcohol dependence.  NA is a program of complete abstinence from all drugs.

Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACA) is a program for individuals who grew up in alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional homes. Members discover how childhood affected them in the past and influences their present.
