Michigan's economic engine is fueled by brain power, and Grand Valley State University is helping harness the energy of students as it educates them to shape their lives, their professions and their societies. With a strong commitment to quality and affordability, Grand Valley is helping the state — and the nation — move in the right direction.

Nearly 90 percent of recent graduates are employed or pursuing advanced degrees. Of those working, 86 percent are employed in Michigan. Grand Valley alumni now number more than 100,000; nearly half are living or working in West Michigan's tri-county area.

Grand Valley alumni are widely represented in many careers, including engineering, law enforcement, politics, health professions and computer and information technology.

Grand Valley attracts more than 400 students from other countries to live and study in the region.
