In 2005 Time Magazine named Peter Okaalet a Global Health Hero. Dr. Okaalet is a Ugandan physician and pastor working to bridge the gap between doctors and clergy when it comes to combating the epidemic of AIDS.

Dr. Brenda Salter McNeil is an evangelist, ordained Chrisitian minister and teacher. She is the founder of Salter McNeil Associates and also its principal. She is a former member of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. She holds degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary and also from Rutgers University. She has a D.Min. from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

This event will feature five speakers from the local community:
- Rev. Chico Daniels of Guiding Light Mission
- Emily Aleman of the Hispanic Center of Western Michigan
- Wanda Weatherspoon of the YWCA Domestic Violence Shelter
- Richa of the homeless advocacy organization Spoon
- Jose Gonzales (or other representative) of the Mel Trotter Mission
Each will speak for ten minutes on what access to justice means for the disadvantaged and minority populations they represent. We will then break into roundtable discussion groups facilitated by trained law students.
The public is invited to attend. There is no charge.
