LDT includes foundation courses (12 credits), a social foundation course (3 credits), a research and evaluation course (3 credits), emphasis area courses (9 courses), and an elective course (3 credits). Students will learn in the following areas:

  • Learning experience design
  • Digital teaching environments
  • Improving human performance
  • Implementing best practices in instructional design
  • Digital literacy skills
  • Emerging technologies
  • Technology management

In addition to enhancing your teaching skills with technologies, the LDT program can open doors to various career paths in organizational training, learning and development, or higher education. Specific career examples include, but are not limited to learning experience designer, instructional designer, curriculum developer, technology coordinator, educational media specialist, online learning specialist, training and development specialist, and performance consultant.

Deadline for fall semester is July 15; winter, November 15; spring/summer, March 15. Early application is encouraged to secure course enrollment. Late applications will be considered on an individual basis, contact program director Beomkyu Choi, [email protected]. The $30 nonrefundable application fee is waived if you have previously applied to GVSU.
